24kms in Honour of Pa

On the 11th January, 2025 I will be running 24 kms to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia in honour of Robert (Bob) Griffiths, my Pa, who lost his battle to Prostate Cancer 24 years ago, nine days after I was born. From my family’s recollections over the years, it is clear that Pa was a funny, generous, talented and athletic man who was loved by all in his life. He did so much for the community such as volunteering at local sporting clubs, a past President of Collingwood Rotary Club, the inaugural President of the Burwood East Probus Club, and the list goes on. Aside from all of those great achievements, Pa was a mad Essendon supporter so on the day of the run I will be wearing red and black in honour of him.

Any donation would help and be welcomed, no matter the size. I hope you can all support me in one way or another.

Every day, 70 Aussie men are diagnosed with prostate cancer. That’s why I’ve decided to become an agent of change by joining the PCFA-Team.

I’ll be taking on a new challenge, conquering the unknown and raising funds to support men and their families impacted by a prostate cancer diagnosis. From game-changing research to specialised mental and physical care, there is so much more we can, and must, do to save the lives of the men we love.

Please support the team that can save lives by making a tax-deductible donation to my campaign in support of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
