Every day, 66 Aussie men are diagnosed with prostate cancer.

I’ll be taking on a new challenge, conquering the unknown and raising funds to support men and their families impacted by a prostate cancer diagnosis. From game-changing research to specialised mental and physical care, there is so much more we can, and must, do to save the lives of the men we love.

A "Murph Workout" consists of:

A 1 Mile Run

100 Pullups

200 Pushups

300 Squats

Another 1 Mile Run

All done whilst wearing a 10kg weight vest.Β 

Completed everyday for 30 days straight. No rest days!

Thats a total of 3000 Pullups, 6000 Pushups, 9000 Squats and 60 Miles of running for the month of April.Β

Thats a wrap! 30 murph workouts for 30 days βœ…οΈ Every morning for 30 days I put on a 10kg weight vest and did the murph workout to raise money for prostate cancer in men. I raised $6440 over the month. βœ…οΈ smashing the target goal of $5000. Here are my overall stats from my 30 days and 30 Murphs: - 3000 pullups - 6000 pushups - 9000 air squats - 96.5km running Total time - 18 hours 27 mins Average time - 36 mins Fastest time - 31:46 Today (20 rounds at 45 sec pace) Slowest time - 39:35 (hungover after a mates wedding) Vo2 max - 51 Ave HR during workout - 167 bpm April 1 - 133 bpm April 30 It has been very tough on the body not having a rest day and towards the end became more of a mental challenge than a physical one. The first 2 weeks were the hardest. I mixed it up between working out in the indoor gym and challenging myself at the park gyms. Waking up and putting the vest on sometimes even after 4 hours sleep made me very exhausted, sore and fatigued but you just get up and get it done βœ…οΈ I had a goal of completing this challenge going sub 40 mins everyday and I achieved it quite easily averaging 36 mins with a PB of 31:46 βœ…οΈ The murphs never got easier, I just got fitter. I had to pace my runs somedays so I didnt burn out. Other days I could fully send it to the end. I set 4 personal best times throughout the month. Most people are happy with one. I was always determined to be quicker and better. No matter how tired you are, If you have the mindset you can push yourself beyond your own limits and set new achievements. Sleep was definately key to those quicker times. I had a target goal of $5000, so to raise $6440 was fantastic and worth all the pain. Time - 36:10 (personal best) Had the best sleep last night I have had in a month. Woke up feeling great with lots of energy. Absolutely smashed it! Day 12 feeling great. 10kg is feeling lighter everyday, runs are quicker, squats getting deeper and heart rate getting lower. 18 to go. Lets go!
