September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and Breakwater Marina is raising funds
Everyday, 66 Aussie men are diagnosed with prostate cancer.
This September, join us as Breakwater supports Prostate Cancer Awareness Month as we raise funds for research, support and care for those we love.
Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, and it is estimated that one in six males will be diagnosed by the time they are 85.
That’s why our team has decided to to take on a new challenge this September, to support men and their families impacted by a prostate cancer diagnosis. The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia can provide game-changing research to specialised mental and physical care and Breakwater Marina is getting onboard and focusing on 3 ways to raise funds this September:
We will be holding a Big Blue Brekky on Friday, 1st September from 7am at the Communal BBQ Area.
We’re raising funds with a $5 Lucky Squares raffle which has a chance to win a Prize Pool valued over $700 with donations from Audacity Charters, Belcher’s Diesel Service, The Navigation Centre, and Designworks. Tickets will be available all month in the Marina Office.
We will be donating $2 for every travelling boat that chooses to stay with us during the month of September (x 3 for every Shag Is Member joining us)
If you aren't able to join us at our Big Brekky on the 1st of September or enter in the $5 Lucky Squares Draw, you can choose to directly donate to our fundraising efforts on this page.
