Hey guys! This is very new to me. I’ve decided to participate in a ‘Swim for Prostate Cancer’, attempting to reach 20km within a month as the topic at hand hits close to home. I was unfortunate enough to witness the effects of prostate cancer first hand, whereby a very close family member of mine fell victim to the disease. Fortunately enough, we were able to rectify and acknowledge the issue early. This however, is not the case for many men in Australia. The objective of this challenge is to not only raise money to contribute towards further research, but to place emphasis on the importance of an early diagnosis and consistent check ups with trusted physicians. Thank you again for your support in this challenge and I implore everyone to spread awareness about one of Australia’s silent killers.
