I'm saving lives.

Every day, 72 Aussie men are diagnosed with prostate cancer. Thatโ€™s whyย Iโ€™ve decided to become an agent of change by joining the PCFA-Team.

Iโ€™ll be taking on a new challenge and raising funds to support men and their families impacted by a prostate cancer diagnosis. From game-changing research to specialised mental and physical care, there is so much more we can, and must, do to save the lives of the men we love.ย

Please support the team that can save lives by making a tax-deductible donation to my campaign in support of theย Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.

1 Year after

Thursday 15th May
It's been 12 months since I was confronted with the news nobody wants to hear "You have cancer"
Fast forward 12 months and here I am cancer free and returning back to normal after having my prostate removed in August 2024.
All my post surgery PSA test have come back negative with undetectable PSA levels.
I'll forever be grateful to all the medical professionals who looked after me, especially my GP who made PSA testing part of my annual check-up and caught my slightly but steadily increasing PSA levels.
Unfortunately, not all men are as lucky, especially as this naughty type of cancer sneaks up on you without any symptoms and once the symptoms do kick in, the cancer cells may have already spread requiring lengthy alternative treatments.
There is a misconception that this is an old mnn cancer. It is not so all of you guys out there in your forties (especially if you have prostate cancer history in the family) insist on having your PSA levels (a simple and pain free blood test) checked annually.
Please support me as I prepare for the Australian Outback Half Marathons which I plan on running end of July.
Can't thank you enough for your generosity.

Great cause Peter. As somebody who has dealt with prostate cancer treatments twice, I share in your passion for awareness because early detection saves lives. So happy to hear that your PSA is undetectable after surgery.
