A hole in one for health: Versace Timbers teem effort

03 Jul 2022

Signing up for the PCFA-Team’s Big Driver initiative and hosting a charity golf day is one sure way to drive home support for men impacted by prostate cancer.

With over 18,000 men diagnosed with prostate cancer each year, Versace Timbers Sales Rep Jenny Day said it’s a cause they can’t ignore.

“Prostate cancer is an issue that spoke to our predominately male client base, and we found that prostate cancer had touched so many people within our network,” she said.

“As time went on, we were educated, supported and celebrated by PCFA and we haven’t looked back. 10 years and counting!

Jenny said Versace Timbers has always prided itself on being community minded and giving back.

“In 2011 we decided to put on an event for our builders to say thank you for their support and see if we could bring some sponsors on board and perhaps give a semi-decent amount to a worthwhile charity.

“In 2012 we decided we wanted to align with a charity that really resonated with our clients, staff and suppliers alike, and along came PCFA. The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia was a dream match.”

With thanks to Jenny and the team, Versace Timbers has now raised over $125,000 for PCFA.

With their support, PCFA has been able to invest in research and continue to expand life-changing support services, including a new Counselling Service launched in June 2022.
