Goal setting: Find your motivation

03 Jul 2022

Goal-setting is a great tool for self-motivation – both at a personal and professional level. It’s no different with fundraising. Not only does it motivate you but your friends and family who are supporting you. Together you’re working toward a shared goal!

That’s why setting a fundraising target is so important.

Something that we’ve seen work well is setting multiple milestone targets, and ‘unlocking’ different challenges along the way.

For example, you can make a pledge to invite your sponsors to a backyard picnic when you achieve your fundraising goal of $500, or run 5km dressed in blue when you make the $1,000 mark. You might be surprised how many people want to see you do the blue run!

You’ll be asked to set a target when you set up your fundraising page but you can go in and edit this at any time. Simply log in to your fundraising dashboard go to the ‘Edit my page’ section, update your fundraising target and click ‘Update Details’.

The sky is the limit but it’s also important to set yourself an achievable goal. Stuck for ideas? Set your sights on $500 and score an exclusive A-Team tee!  PCFA Community Fundraisers raised over $1,000 on average last year – an incredible achievement that testifies to the power of community.

Whatever the goal you reach it all makes a difference supporting men and families living with prostate cancer.

If we can do anything to help you reach your fundraising goal reach out on 1800 22 00 99 or fundraising@pcfa.org.au.
