Meet Simon, who’s going the extra mile to participate in The Long Ride this year.
Traveling all the way from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia with his BMW 800GS-A; Simon will join hundreds of other riders traveling from Sydney to Victor Harbour covering over 3500 kms.
When we asked Simon what made decide to travel internationally to take part in this year’s event he said “it seemed an excellent chance to visit Australia, get back on the road, meet some folks and contribute to a meaningful cause.” We couldn’t agree more Simon!
The first Long Ride took place in 2007 to raise vital funds and awareness in regional communities.
Since then the event has raised over $1million, all thanks to the leadership of volunteers Chris and Gail Dunne OAM.
