Why we are fundraising 💙
This September, Prostate Cancer Awareness Month has become particularly personal for me and my family.
My father was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer, and like so many families, we are now experiencing firsthand what a diagnosis like this means, not only for the person diagnosed, but for everyone who loves and supports them. It has made me realise just how important awareness, early detection, research and support are.
That’s why throughout September, Bailey’s Barkery & Zopera Designs are Going Blue, with $1 from every sale donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA).
We have set ourselves a goal of raising $500, and anyone who would like to contribute directly to our fundraiser is very welcome to do so. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps support prostate cancer research, awareness and services for Australian men and their families.
For me, this fundraiser is more than simply supporting a good cause.
