I'm saving lives.
Every day 72 Australian men are diagnosed with prostate cancer; impacting thousands of families. The Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia (PCFA) is the only Australian organisation whose funding activities exclusively focus on this common disease affecting our men.
The annual Ormiston College Clip supports the PCFA efforts to raise funds for research, support groups and prostate specialist cancer nurses. You are asked to donate to these Year 12 gentlemen who are committing to have their hair clipped to raise funds to support the PCFA in these efforts as well as raise awareness.
The clipped hair will be put to good use in hair booms by Sustainable Salons. These hair booms are used to absorb oil in our oceans which impact bird and marine life and vegetation. Local Sustainable Salons will be donating the time of skilled hairdressers for this event.
