Tweed Coast Bike Ride to raise Prostate Cancer Awareness

By Philip ARTHUR

I'm saving lives.

Every day, 72 Aussie men are diagnosed with prostate cancer. If caught early through a simple PSA blood test, this cancer can be nipped in the bud and life can continue pretty much as normal. But if not detected early then it can require extensive treatment and can be fatal. We want to raise awareness of the need for men over 50 to ask a GP for an annual PSA test so that they have the best chance of staying fit and healthy as they age.

Our aim is to arrange a 65km bike ride through the magnificent scenery of the Tweed Coast region. We will invite friends and colleagues and the general cycling community to join us on the bike ride and use the opportunity to inform participants and the general community about prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Please support the team that can save lives by making a tax-deductible donation to my campaign in support of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
