Tweed Coast Bike Ride to raise Prostate Cancer Awareness

By Philip ARTHUR

We're saving lives.

Join us on a “Pedal for Prostates” charity bike ride along the Northern Rivers Rail Trail in Northern NSW on Sunday 26th April to raise awareness of prostate cancer and also raise funds for prostate cancer research.

Participants will start in Burringbar between 7am and 10:30am and follow the rail trail to Murwillumbah then head back, passing through Burringbar, and continue on through Mooball to Crabbes Creek then return to Mooball or Burringbar. Importantly it's not a race. It's a day out in the country where cyclists can take it easy and enjoy the spectacular Tweed Valley scenery, and enjoy the many hospitality venues along the way.

We’re asking for a $66 donation ($6 for under 18s) to register and are being sponsored by, and promoting, businesses along the route.  There’ll be a number of regular presentations by a specialist from the Prostate Cancer Foundation at Masterson Park in Burringbar. He’ll also answer any questions people may have about prostate cancer; the disease, its diagnosis, treatment and outcomes. Everyone is welcome to the presentations, even if they don’t do the bike ride.

More information and how to register can be found via the link to the humanitix website below.
